Yahoo!
Me and Colby were driving to school tonight, he said, "you know what I just remembered?" I immediately thought I promised him something and forgot to follow through, but then he said, "you don't know how to whistle!" We both laughed. I guess I'm going to be a college graduate and can't do everything.
Here is an update: Thanksgiving was wonderful. Ate too much.
I finished my photography portfolio which is stunning. Not to sound puffed up, but I never thought I had the talent to do it, but turns out it's a developing talent.
I am in Young Womens in the ward. I love it. The girls are great, but the women I serve with are super wonderful. After being in the ward a year and a half I feel welcome.. funny how I'm not shy, but when i'm in a new environment I have a hard time making new friends... weird.
Lastly, on Christmas Eve we are leaving on a jet plane, (sing the song in your head before continuing.) We are going to see Colby's brother Kyle and sister in law Lindy in North Carolina and we couldn't be more excited. While we are back east we will be going to Washington D.C. We can't wait. We are excited for some quality time with Kyle Lindy and the girls.
I really don't have anything else to blog about... photography class is starting so adios amigos.

Grown up
Who doesn't love to work 40 hours a week and go to school full time? clean toilets and mop floors on Saturdays, and do their homework all day? Oh, I almost forgot my favorite part of being a grown up, BILLS! Just when I thought life couldn't get any better, I realized it's almost 11:30, on a Saturday night, Colby is in bed, and I still am doing homework.
Colby had a mentally exhausting day of homework, laundry (7 full loads of his wife's clothes) and planning a Sunday school lesson.
Lucky for me I am topping off this day with an ice cold beer...Oops! I mean root beer.
Oh yeah, I went to Camille's house tonight, she is in the same ward as me, and I reminded her to pack extra goldfish crackers for me and Luke at church tomorrow. I hope she remembers... that would make being a grown up a little less painful!
Thanks John and Andrea for inviting me to your blog. It made my Saturday night 10 times better.
TO THE MAY FAMILY
I text you, and never get a response. Maybe because I am a stranger these days? I don't have your email. But I know you read my blog. PLEASE send me an invite to see your family blob (Grandma Jean calls them Blobs instead of blogs.)... email me: dstarkie@gmail.com.
Thanks. Love you ALL!
Your favorite Cousin,
Diane

Amelia Bedilia and Costco
Costco is my favorite store. Hands down. I love it even more when I see this little dude on the shelf! Too bad he is not for sale.
Tootsie Roll Fanatics

The picture above is just for fun... and because I am wishing for snow by Halloween. I'm wishing hard! Nothing beats a winter wonderland. Just thinking about it gives me the chills.. (no pun intended)
My adorable nephew Luke lives right next door to me. I see him everyday. I am probably a little obsessed.. in the healthy way of course. I told my sister, "If I have a boy I'm naming him Luke, after your son Luke, and if I have a girl I'm naming her Lucy because it's the girl version of Luke (or at least it is in my mind.)" Camille told me I can't name a boy Luke because that would be weird to have two cousins with the same name.. I'll show her!
Luke likes to come over to my house and open up my acorn cookie jar and play with our favorite treat, vanilla tootsie rolls. I also bought him a bunch of number and letter magnets that are on my fridge and he LOVES to play with them. I just love this baby. I could kiss his chubby cheeks right off.
I just never thought I could love a little kid this much that wasn't my own child. I wonder what it will be like when they are actually my own..

We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet!
I had a bad day today. As I left work I called my mom next thing I knew my voice went shaky and I was on the verge of tears. I told her I had to call her back later. Then I got in my car, only to see the post it note that I had stuck on my Speedometer a few months ago that said "Your future is as bright as your faith." - President Monson.
Thanks President Monson. You saved my day.
PS. Elder Starkie flew to Alaska today. I am such a proud big sister.

The Kennedy's and Me
Not many people can say this, but I "ripped off" the Kennedy's. Yes, I mean Kennedy as in our past President.. his nephew Robert Kennedy Jr. (named after his dad who was shot and killed while running for president.. or something like that.)
Now you want to know what happened don't you...
I went to Babysit 2 of Robert A.K.A "Bobby's" (yes we are that good of friends now that I call him Bobby...) I went with my friend, actually she invited me to come help her. I don't have that great of connections, but she does! anyways, I babysat Saturday and Sunday and came home that Sunday $700 richer. Boo-Yah! And here is the thing, I have pictures with some celebrity's!
But I will tell you this, I got free skiing Deer Valley that whole weekend and following week, for me and a friend Kennedy style A.K.A VIP style.
{Sigh... } what I would do to "rip off" {i mean babysit} the Kennedy Children again!
